Etsuko was born in Osaka, Japan and started playing piano at the age of 5. After studying classical piano for years, she became interested in Jazz.

Etsuko studied jazz piano with Stefan Carlson and music composition with Don Hanna at UNLV and in 1997, she received a Master’s Degree in Music composition with emphasis in jazz studies. She performed with the UNLV big band in New York, Washington DC and in Hawaii.

Etsuko has performed with many jazz artists and vocalists in Las Vegas area such as Ryan Baker, Elisa Fiorillo, Rita Lim, and others. She also played the keyboard chair for the musical Mama Mia.

Etsuko’s Jazz duo performed at the Bellagio hotel baccarat bar for years, and also played a Japanese themed performance in the Bellagio Conservatory.
